Political Counselor Mr. Andrej Medica

This year, Slovenia was represented by a delegation of the Lakeland Community College from Kirtland, Ohio. A group of students, headed by Dr. Jennifer Forster, visited Slovenian Embassy prior to the competition to discuss Slovenia’s positions on different topics, such as NATO operations, especially in Afghanistan and Kosovo, NATO enlargement, and relations between NATO and Russia. They also learned about other aspects of Slovenia’s foreign policy.

The Embassy would like to congratulate the delegation of Lakeland Community College for receiving two awards at the competition: “Best Delegation in the Committee” for their participation in the Nuclear Planning Group, and “Honorable Mention – Best Overall Delegation” for their portrayal of Slovenia across all committees and councils.
