NCIV makes a Traditional Visit to Slovenian Embassy

National Council of International Visitors , a nonprofit organization founded in 1961, with members in 91 cities across the Untied States, hosted an annual meeting in February 2009 in Washington.

For the past eight years, many foreign distinguished countrymen have visited the United States as guests of the U.S. Department of State’s International Visitors Program (IVLP). Among them have been some distinguished Slovenians.

This program is arranged by members on the NCIV, some 80,000 volunteers, citizen diplomats, who generously host the international visitors.

As part of their annual meeting, NCIV organizes yearly visits to foreign representations. Slovenian Embassy has traditionally hosted a reception for the NCIV members, who have express interest in the country. This year, Slovenian Embassy had a pleasure of hosting NCIV, continuing with the tradition of this strong and lasting relationship, acknowledging importance and privilege of this international cooperation.
