A Blasting Start for Kopitar in the NHL Season

Bookmark and Share

With four goals and six passes in the first five matches, Slovenian Anže Kopitar temporarily shares the second place on the NHL strikers list so far. More successful is only the Russian “Tsar”, Alexander Ovechkin.

“Last year we lost about 20 matches, although we were leading before the 3rd quarter. We just did not manage to hold the lead. This season we know how to do it, and even if we get a goal in the last minutes, we stay calm and bring the match to the end,” explained Kopitar and added that because of the good start the team atmosphere is very good. “Kopi’s” LA Kings won by 2-1 the last game against NY Islanders, where Kopitar with the help of captain Dustin Brown scored for 1-0. The Kings are now taking on the NY Rangers, who are the leading team of the league and in the latest game ran over Toronto with 7-2.
