EU Community Joins Together To Present Second Annual Kids Euro Festival

A Celebration of European Arts and Culture for Kids

Slovenian artist Gasper Jemec exhibits at Salamatina gallery in Manhasset, NYKids Euro Festival will feature talented European children’s entertainers from almost every performance genre.  Opera for children, improvisational storytelling, puppetry, dance, and acrobatics are just a few of the exciting performances scheduled during almost four weeks of artistic adventures, with no passport required.

Designed for children ages four through twelve, Kids Euro Festival is being staged once again through the cooperation of the 27 European Union embassies in Washington and more than twenty major local cultural institutions.

Slovenia will offer kids a fun puppet theatre The Gigantic Balloon, telling young audience how nothing is impossible for imagination”. Oscar, age 6, discovers through his imagination that even a little bag can turn into a big balloon, which carries Oscar up in the sky and brings him home safely in the evening.

Reading Workshop for Children,on October 24, at 10 am in Georgetown Interim Library, will also offer Slovenian story, as a part of a Celebration of Eastern Europe.
